Application/Usage

The closed suction catheter system is designed to safely remove secretions from mechanically ventilated patients while maintaining ventilation. It is ideal for:

Airway suctioning to remove mucus and secretions
Maintaining ventilation during suctioning
Preventing infection with sterile, enclosed design
Enhancing patient comfort compared to open suctioning

Suctioning Procedure

Grip the three-way adaptor and feed the suction catheter to required depth (depth markers visible)
Depress vacuum control valve to apply suction when in position
Remove suction catheter until protective sleeve is straight
Repeat as necessary

Caution: Always use recommended vacuum levels and consider suctioning time.
